We are a dispatch service, not a freight broker

City DD Logistics provides dispatch services as an agent of the carrier. Loads are booked in the carrier's name, under the carrier's own operating authority and insurance. We do not take possession of freight, we do not take title to freight, and we do not hold ourselves out to shippers as a party that will arrange transportation on our own account.

We are not a freight broker and do not operate under freight broker authority.

Rates, loads and earnings are never guaranteed

Any rate, mileage, revenue or earnings figure shown anywhere on this site is an illustrative example of an individual load. It is not a forecast, a projection, a guarantee, or a representation of results you should expect.

Freight rates move with the lane, the season, your equipment, your authority, your safety record and the market. All of that is outside our control. City DD Logistics Inc. does not guarantee load availability, rates, revenue or earnings.

Be skeptical of anyone in this industry who does guarantee you a rate — including us, if we ever do.

The calculators

The cost-per-mile calculator and the trucking profit calculator on this site perform arithmetic on figures you enter yourself. They run entirely in your browser and we never see your numbers.

Their output is an estimate to help you find your own break-even and see your own month. It is not a quote, not a market rate, not advice about what to charge, and not accounting or tax advice. Your real costs depend on your truck, your lanes, your maintenance history and your accounting. Check it against your actual invoices and statements before you rely on it.

The profit calculator's numbers check flags figures that look missing or unusual. It cannot verify your figures, and a clean check does not mean your numbers are right. Its what-if feature is an illustration using your own figures, not a prediction or a promise of rates or earnings.

The Profit Desk and the free Truck Profit Check

The Truck Profit Check and the Profit Desk are general business planning: working out your cost per mile, profit per load, cash timing and set-aside amounts from figures you give us. They are not accounting, bookkeeping, tax, legal or financial advice, and they are not a substitute for your own accountant or advisor, who should confirm anything to do with tax.

We never receive, hold or move your money as part of this. Everything we suggest is planning for you to act on or ignore.

The results depend entirely on the figures you give us, and we don't audit or verify them. Showing you where money is leaking is not a promise of what you will earn. City DD Logistics Inc. does not guarantee any result from following a plan we build with you.

Information about regulations is general, not advice

Our coverage pages describe things a carrier should be aware of in particular provinces and states — weight-mile taxes, emissions requirements, border documentation and similar. This is general information to raise the question, deliberately written without specific rates, thresholds or dates because those change.

It is not legal, tax or regulatory advice, and it is not a substitute for checking the current requirements with the relevant government agency or your own advisor. Requirements change and we may not have updated a page. Verify before you run.

If you become a client

Dispatch services are governed by a separate written dispatch service agreement between City DD Logistics Inc. and the carrier. Nothing on this website varies, replaces or adds to that agreement, and where this website and that agreement differ, the agreement governs.

The text, design, logo and marks on this site belong to City DD Logistics Inc. You're welcome to read it, share a link to it, and quote it with attribution. Please don't republish it as your own.

Limitation of liability

This website is provided as-is. To the extent permitted by law, City DD Logistics Inc. is not liable for loss arising from decisions you make based on information on this site, including the calculators and the regulatory information described above.

Nothing here limits any right you have under applicable consumer protection legislation that cannot be limited by agreement.

Accessibility

We built this site to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA for color contrast and tap-target size, and it is designed to work on a phone first, because that is what drivers use. Text scales, motion respects your system's reduced-motion setting, and every interactive element is reachable by keyboard.

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada.
