Truck dispatch · Box truck

Box truck dispatch.

Too big for a van, too small for a semi. We dispatch it.

Box trucks move the freight that's too big for a van and too small for a semi: expedited runs, partials, retail and regional work. It's a different market from big-truck freight, and it needs a dispatcher who treats it that way.

The details
Expedited and time-critical
A lot of box truck freight is urgent. We price the urgency and make sure the timeline is one you can actually hit.
Liftgate, pallet jack, dock
The receiver's setup matters more for a box truck. We confirm whether there's a dock, or whether you'll need your liftgate and a pallet jack, before we book.
Regional, not just long haul
Box trucks often do best on shorter regional runs with more loads per week. We plan the week to keep you busy, not just the next trip.
Box size and payload
Box length, door height and payload checked against every load, so you never show up to freight that won't fit.
What we watch on box trucks

Your weight class decides your rules.

Your weight class decides license, authority and logbook rules.

Why it matters

Box trucks come in a wide range of weight ratings, and that rating decides whether you need a commercial license, your own operating authority, and which inspection and logbook rules apply. Settle that with the agency first, and we'll book loads that fit your setup.

General information, not advice. Check the rules with the agency before you run.

Why we say this

Requirements change and this page may not be current: confirm anything regulatory with the relevant agency or your own advisor before you run. We'll flag what we see during setup, but the obligation sits with the carrier and its authority.

Questions carriers ask

Answered straight.

Do you dispatch box trucks without their own authority?

No. Every load we book goes in the carrier's name, under the carrier's own authority. If you run under another company's authority, that company is the carrier, so talk to us together.

Is there enough box truck freight?

There's steady demand for expedited and regional work, but it's patchier than semi freight and it moves fast. The box trucks that do well are the ones with someone watching the boards for them.

What do you need to know about my truck?

Box length, door type and height, payload, whether you have a liftgate, and whether you carry a pallet jack and straps. It all changes which loads you can take.
